The DataLocker Sentry K300 is a hardware-encrypted micro solid-state drive with keypad-based user authentication, available in capacities from 8 GB to 256 GB. The device implements AES and SHA cryptographic modules validated under FIPS 197 and requires keypad authentication prior to USB connection. It supports read speeds of 220 MB/s and write speeds of 100 MB/s (8–32 GB) or 200 MB/s (64–256 GB), with file system support for NTFS, FAT32, and exFAT across Windows, macOS, and Linux hosts. A self-destruct mechanism deletes the encryption key and erases all data after 20 consecutive incorrect password attempts, returning the device to factory settings.
The Sentry K300 integrates into managed security infrastructures through the SafeConsole platform for centralized administration, policy enforcement, deployment, and firmware management. Firmware upgrades employ a dual-bank process that preserves the previous version until activation. The device operates in managed mode via SafeConsole 5.4+ on Windows, unmanaged mode on macOS, and boot mode on Linux, with managed units supporting Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops. It supports standalone operation with up to 9,999 unlocks maintained in hardware without a Windows host, and can be configured as a bootable Windows drive. Management tasks, formatting, and bootable environment creation require proper authentication; firmware and client software updates require a Windows 10 64-bit or later host. The DataLocker Disk Formatter Utility enables reformatting as fixed or removable media, with complete secure erasure available through the Zeroize function.
