SafeConsole Anti-Malware is an onboard security module integrated into DataLocker encrypted USB devices that provides automated anti-malware scanning through the Trellix™ Enterprise Anti-Malware engine. The module examines files for malicious content—including viruses, ransomware, trojans, worms, and spyware—during transfer operations in real time, operating independently of host system software and outside organizational networks. Upon detection, it applies administrator-configured remediation actions such as quarantining or destroying threats, with the capability to enforce read-only mode to prevent write access and reduce infection risk.
The module is enabled and managed through the SafeConsole centralized management platform, where administrators define scanning parameters, threat response policies, and protection rules across multiple devices. It receives automatic virus definition updates from Trellix™, logs detection events centrally, and generates real-time notifications and reports to the admin portal upon detection or at the device's next server connection. This integration allows administrators to combine malware detection with remote lock, wipe, and audit functions while maintaining detailed audit trails for monitoring, analysis, and compliance purposes.
