XyLoc Passive Proximity Cards and Readers by Ensure Technologies combine physical and logical access with passive proximity cards and readers. Traditionally used for physical access to buildings and secure rooms, these cards can now be used for PC workstation access with XyLoc Passive Proximity Card Support. User authentication is performed by XyLoc Security Server (XSS), which authenticates credentials against Microsoft Active Directory or a SQL Server credential database. XyLoc allows access to the workstation once the user is fully authenticated. With the XyLoc Single Sign-On (SSO) software, users can access applications without retyping credentials, enhancing security and efficiency by eliminating the need for password reminders.
