WWPass Platform by WWPass is a distributed authentication and data storage system that provides passwordless multi-factor authentication, key management, and client-side encryption capabilities. It utilizes a zero-knowledge architecture to protect user identities and data across multiple datacenters. The platform eliminates the need for usernames and passwords, instead using cryptographic technology to authenticate users through a digital key stored on a mobile device or hardware token. This approach enhances security by removing human-readable credentials from the authentication process, addressing a common cause of data breaches. WWPass Platform implements client-side encryption for data protection, with the master encryption key generated and stored on the WWPass Key, never leaving the user's device. The platform creates and manages Protected User Identities (PUIDs), which are unique strings of randomly generated numbers specific to each service, encrypted and stored both at rest and in transit.
