WISeSat by WISeKey and FOSSA Systems is a picosatellite-based IoT connectivity solution that combines pico-satellites with VaultIC408 secure elements to enable secure IoT connectivity from any location on Earth. The system uses LoRa protocol for communication between network concentrators, sensors, and low-orbiting satellites, providing connectivity for applications like smart farming and logistics across areas lacking traditional connectivity coverage. Using FIPS 140-3 CMVP secure elements for device, data, and transmission security, the system enables encrypted data collection from distributed sensors using client-specific secret keys. The data transmission process involves satellites receiving encrypted sensor data, routing it to ground stations, which then forward it to network servers for decryption and analysis.
