Wedge Absolute Real-time Protection (WedgeARP) by Wedge Networks is a virtualized security platform that operates inline with network traffic to provide real-time threat prevention. It utilizes deep packet inspection (DPI) and deep content inspection (DCI) to analyze and secure data in motion. WedgeARP employs a patented Security Orchestrator (WedgeSO) to inspect packets and reconstruct full file content in real-time. The platform is designed to block conventional and advanced viruses and malware, including those that may pass through next-generation firewalls and intrusion prevention systems. WedgeARP is available as a virtual machine (VM) or as an appliance pre-loaded with VM software on high-performance x86 servers.
