Versatile AES-256 by Xiphera is an IP core that implements the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) with a 256-bit key in five modes of operation: Electronic Codebook (ECB), Cipher Block Chaining (CBC), Cipher Feedback (CFB), Output Feedback (OFB), and Counter (CTR). Versatile AES-256 is designed for easy integration into FPGA and ASIC projects, following a vendor-independent approach. It has obtained CAVP validation from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
