UniQore is a synthesizable, secure soft-core processor designed to secure embedded systems and end-points equipped with FPGAs or add-on FPGA cards. Supported by DARPA and MDA, it functions as a very low-overhead processor core that can be utilized as an add-on to customer reconfigurable hardware. The technology relies on customized instruction sets and interfaces that are made unique to each specific product line or device based on integration requirements.
The processor core can be instantiated directly in FPGA logic and incorporates patented concepts to protect device internals and software from tampering and side-channel attacks. It includes its own ecosystem and security firmware, alongside standard interfaces for integration with major commercial FPGA hardware platforms.
