Cellebrite's UFED Touch Ultimate is a standalone, touchscreen mobile forensics device used to extract data from a wide range of mobile phones, portable devices, and SIM cards. It connects to devices via physical cable, Bluetooth, or infrared and supports logical, file system, and physical (bit-by-bit) extractions, including the recovery of deleted data. The unit can bypass or decode device locks and passwords to access data, and it decodes information from applications, including messaging and social media, to reconstruct communications and user activity. It extracts artifacts such as call logs, contacts, media, and GPS location data, which can be reviewed through its interface. To maintain evidentiary integrity, the system documents the extraction process for chain of custody, generates hash verifications of the acquired data, and produces reports of the extracted evidence.
