TransGate is a foundational cryptographic product within the zkPass ecosystem designed to enable the verifiable transfer of private data from Web2 environments to Web2 or Web3 ecosystems. It incorporates a Multi-Party Computation (MPC) network, an Interactive Zero-Knowledge (ZK) proof system, and a 3-party Transport Layer Security (3P-TLS) protocol to facilitate secure data exchange and authentication.
The system utilizes both client and server software development kits (SDKs) to allow businesses to authenticate zero-knowledge proofs generated by users from targeted data sources. By operating directly on TLS responses and locally generating proofs in a browser environment, TransGate allows organizations to grant eligible access and privileges without exposing or gathering the underlying private user data.
