Teleport Access by Teleport provides secure, on-demand, least-privileged access to infrastructure based on cryptographic identity and zero trust principles. It functions as a certificate authority and identity-aware, multi-protocol access proxy implementing protocols such as SSH, RDP, HTTPS, Kubernetes API, and various SQL and NoSQL databases. Teleport Access allows users to access servers, databases, and other components over the public internet, even if protected by a firewall. It creates a unified inventory of all resources with a single role-based access control system for least-privilege access. Users can authenticate using Single Sign-On providers, and Teleport Access can act as an identity provider for external services. Connectivity occurs through short-lived credentials verified by strong cryptographic techniques.
