Tara by Information Security Corporation is a centralized credential management and trust anchor distribution system. It interfaces with CCMS to manage and deploy server and application credentials, as well as common trust anchors and Certificate Revocation Lists (CRLs) across an enterprise. Once installed on a host, Tara periodically downloads and installs updated trust stores and CRLs from a central server. It manages the host's Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) credentials, automatically handling scheduled key rollover events and reconfiguring relying server processes to use updated keying material. Tara is designed for automated provisioning of virtual servers in cloud environments, interfacing with Bagala and CCMS to obtain VM credentials and trust chains upon launch, and informing CCMS when a VM is terminated.
