Tahoe 8830 by Interface Masters Technologies is a 1U networking appliance designed for enterprise applications. It features the Marvell OCTEON TX2 ARM64 CN9880 multicore processor with 30-36 cores operating at 2.2GHz. Tahoe 8830 supports high-performance offload processing upgrade options and a dedicated single-bay I/O module. The optional high-performance offload processing upgrades include an Intel XEON-D class processing module with Interface Masters' proprietary DataSlammer technology and support for any PCI x16 lane network card, including advanced NVIDIA GPUs. Both options are thermally validated using Ansys thermal simulation. Interface Masters supports the Marvell SDK on multiple Linux distributions, with additional software and firmware enabling rapid application development. Target applications include network security appliances, Edge Routers, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Network Function Virtualization (NFV), Software Defined Networks (SDN), SSL/IPsec offload processing, 3G/4G/5G/LTE gateways, Unified Threat Management (UTM), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), WAN optimization, Application Delivery Controllers (ADC), wireless controllers, and load balancers.
