T2 is Fingerprint Cards AB's second-generation T-Shape sensor module and software platform for payments. The T2 sensors, known as FPC 1323, deliver increased image quality and processing speed as well as improved power efficiency for biometric smart cards. The module features ultra-low power consumption with robust biometric performance and includes encryption and privacy layers for the storage and communication of biometric data. The sensor is designed to be directly connected to secure elements such as Infineon's SLC38 and can be combined with Infineon's 40nm security controller and biometric software for payments. The biometric solution can be integrated in payment and access cards using automated manufacturing processes.
