SplashNotes is an outlining and note-taking application designed for creating, editing, and organizing structured information. Its primary function is to build outlines and lists, which can be converted into interactive checklists, and to attach text notes or drawings to individual entries. The software accommodates large data sets, with support for up to 30,000 characters per note and up to 30,000 items per file.
The application facilitates data management across multiple platforms through two-way synchronization. It supports desktop environments on Windows and Mac OS, and mobile devices running Palm OS, Windows Mobile, or iOS. Synchronization methods include wireless connectivity for iOS devices or a HotSync Conduit for Palm OS devices. During the synchronization process, the account's data is automatically backed up into separate database files.
