SierraTEE provides a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) designed to provide a secure operating environment for sensitive data and applications. It allows devices to run a secure operating system alongside a normal high-level operating system, protecting confidential data such as payment card information, DRM-protected content, and passwords from malicious attacks and malware. SierraTEE is compatible with ARM TrustZone-enabled 64-bit devices and is also available for MIPS-based devices, leveraging hardware security features like Imagination's OmniShield. It is GlobalPlatform compliant, ensuring standardized security for trusted virtualization across various products, including set-top boxes, routers, mobile phones, and other consumer devices.
