Operating in either standalone or managed modes, the device utilizes hardware-based security features, including tamper-evident mechanisms, cryptographic parameter zeroization upon unauthorized physical access, and a self-destruct protocol that deletes the encryption key after ten failed authentication attempts. It is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux environments, and integrates with DataLocker's SafeConsole management platform to enable centralized administration, identity-based authentication, role-based controls, event logging, and integrated antivirus capabilities. Depending on the storage capacity model, the drive provides read speeds ranging from 80 MB/s to 250 MB/s and write speeds from 12 MB/s to 85 MB/s. Device maintenance, including incremental firmware updates, can be deployed through SafeConsole policies or executed manually, which requires a physical Windows 10 64-bit or later machine.
