FastpassCorp Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR) is a password management module that enables end-users to independently reset passwords and unlock accounts without IT intervention. The system integrates directly with Microsoft Active Directory in on-premise and hybrid multi-forest infrastructures, enforcing existing password complexity and history rules. It provides a Pre-Windows Credential Provider for access from the login screen and updates cached credentials on remote devices. For identity verification, the software supports multiple multi-factor authentication methods, using dynamic routing based on user profiles and context to determine the appropriate verification challenge.
The system's password reset capabilities can be extended via SSH and API to manage credentials for external systems, including operating systems, mainframes, and databases. Internal communications and sensitive data are encrypted using AES 256-bit and RSA 2048/4096-bit standards. The software includes a Facilitated Password Reset module that equips service desk agents with a structured workflow for assisted resets to prevent unauthorized access. Administrators can enforce automated user enrollment and establish policies to block weak or breached passwords.
