The dope.security Secure Web Gateway (SWG) is an endpoint-based proxy solution that processes application and internet traffic locally on the user's device. It utilizes a direct-to-internet architecture, eliminating the need for traffic backhauling through remote data centers, tunnels, PAC files, or GRE/IPsec configurations. A single software agent provides native execution for Windows and macOS, including Apple Silicon and Intel processors, and operates using under 100 MB of RAM. The system performs on-device SSL inspection, URL filtering across 80+ categories, and offers cloud application controls that support tenant restrictions through HTTP header injection.
Management is handled through a centralized cloud console where administrators set policies, monitor shadow IT, and review user analytics. Policy updates are pushed instantly to online devices, while enforcement capabilities are maintained when the endpoint is offline. The SWG also integrates AI-powered endpoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP) to monitor, classify, and restrict sensitive data uploads. This DLP functionality operates directly on the device using zero-data-retention large language models to analyze data transfers to cloud applications.
