Secure Remote Worker by ThinScale is a software-based solution that locks down a user’s personal Windows device to deliver a secure and compliant BYOD workspace. When launched, it creates a secure, isolated workspace session on any Windows device. Lockdown policies are applied to this session, removing access to the underlying operating system. Once the user exits Secure Remote Worker, these policies are removed, restoring access. It segregates personal and corporate data, prevents corporate data from being saved to personal devices, and does not require dual-booting or USB drives. It is compatible with major VDI/DaaS vendors and includes features such as execution prevention, USB storage filtering, watermarking, and data encryption. Secure Remote Worker ensures that only IT-approved services and apps can run during a secure session, and it can be remotely wiped from the device when an employee leaves. It maintains compliance with PCI DSS, HIPAA, and GDPR standards.
