Data stores are managed in Satori by data engineers with Admin or Editor roles in the Satori management console. Each data store has a unique, Satori-generated URL created upon registration. Registering a data store has no impact on the data store itself. Datasets are collections of data objects like tables or schemas that are governed as a single unit. Satori's Security Policy engine protects data by authorizing specific individuals or groups to view it. It implements dynamic Masking Profiles and Data Filtering on tables, columns, rows, and fields within a dataset. Security policies can be applied to single or multiple datasets. Satori's automated data classification enables you to discover and classify sensitive data quickly and has a low false-positive rate. Satori scans and discovers data in various stores, including semi-structured data like JSON. You can automatically apply security policies on newly discovered sensitive data. Dynamic masking policies are applied in minutes based on data types and identities, providing fine-grained universal access controls that can be role-based and tailored for specific users.
