QEYnet by QEYnet is a global Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) network using microsatellites for ultra-secure communication. It addresses the quantum computing threat to current encryption methods by utilizing the quantum nature of individual photons to create encryption keys that are impervious to undetected eavesdropping. QEYnet's solution involves placing Trusted Nodes on satellites in Earth Orbit, allowing a single satellite to provide global QKD connectivity by orbiting the Earth 15 times a day. The system uses a space-based QKD payload developed at the University of Waterloo's Institute for Quantum Computing.
