ProximVision Advanced by Proxim is a cloud-enabled carrier management system and WLAN controller that unifies management of the Proxim infrastructure. It offers tools for monitoring network performance and remote device configuration. Designed to operate on AWS, it provides high availability and reduces operational costs. ProximVision Advanced starter kit supports 100 nodes for the first month, then switches to 4 nodes without time restriction. The server application runs within the IT department and supports web and Java-based clients for remote access. It includes advanced password management, remote user authentication based on TACACS+ or LDAP services, and connected user information and operation audit trail with Syslog forwarding. It supports up to 50 concurrent sessions with auto log off and features backup, restore, compaction, and device suppression. The system includes active and standby server redundancy with shared floating IP address and database mirroring. It also features alarm forwarding via SNMP v2c/v3 and REST API, auto discovery, configuration, and firmware update of devices with controller mode enabled. It supports MAC address-based device control with IP address assignment and collects, stores, and displays client information. The advanced controller for ORINOCO access points includes RF management, auto channeling, rogue AP report, network status, and client management. The advanced controller for TSUNAMI, EDGE, and STRATUM includes base station RF management, network and QoS statistics, tree architecture with subnet group organization, automatic device association, and static and dynamic maps for device placement and tracking.
