Phish Alert Button is an add-in for Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace that enables users to report suspicious emails. The tool allows users to forward email threats to security teams for analysis and removes the email from the user's inbox with one click. When an email is reported, it is forwarded to the IT security team and deleted from the user's inbox. The solution provides IT and risk management teams with early warning of possible phishing attacks or malicious emails. It supports Outlook 2010, 2013, 2016, Outlook for Microsoft 365, Exchange 2013 and 2016, Chrome 54 and later across Linux, OS X and Windows platforms, and Outlook Mobile. The tool is available for Microsoft environments including Outlook EXE Version, Hybrid PAB for Microsoft 365 and Exchange, and Microsoft Ribbon PAB, as well as Google Workspace environments through Gmail Add-on PAB and PAB Chrome Extension, with mobile app compatibility for iOS and Android. It uses Campaign Recipient ID validation to distinguish between simulated phishing tests and genuine threats. The system tracks user proficiency by recording when users report simulated phishing emails in the KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training console. It can integrate with Microsoft Defender for Office 365 to send reported emails directly to Microsoft's Submissions page for analysis.
