Passware Kit Agent by Passware is a network distributed password recovery worker designed for Passware Kit Ultimate, Forensic, and Business editions. It distributes password recovery tasks over a network of Windows or Linux computers, as well as Amazon EC2 and Microsoft Azure Cloud Agents, for linear scalability. Each computer running Passware Kit Agent can support multiple CPUs and GPUs simultaneously. The built-in Resource Manager allows forensic examiners to configure, manage, and monitor a hardware cluster. Passware Kit Agent is available as a free download, but there are limitations on the number of Agents that can be connected based on the edition. Passware Kit Agent comes with a one-year Software Maintenance and Support Subscription. It supports distributed password recovery for Windows, Linux, Amazon EC2, and Microsoft Azure. The Linux version runs a portable Passware Kit Agent from a bootable Linux USB drive. Remote management of network Agents is possible directly from the Passware Kit Forensic. It recovers passwords for all file types that require a brute-force attack and supports any combination of Dictionary, Brute-force, Xieve, Mask, Known Password/Part, and Previous Passwords, and other types of attacks and modifiers. It includes high performance and GPU acceleration features for linear performance scalability, using multiple-core CPUs and GPUs efficiently to speed up the password recovery process.
