The PA240 For Commercial is an out-of-band management device designed to provide engineers with secure access to network elements such as firewalls, routers, switches, and servers. It establishes connectivity outside of the primary network bandwidth utilizing dial-up telephone lines, cellular data, or existing internet connections. The system leverages a "Pretty Good OOB" (PGOOB) architecture by connecting devices to a central CDI SQUINT Cloud Server, which eliminates the requirement for a fixed IP address at the customer site.
The device utilizes a certificate-based connection to secure access and places authenticated users into an isolated domain specific to their devices. The PA240 can be deployed in the field alongside CDI PA222 Head-End clients located in a NOC center. It supports management through CDI's Out of Band Manager (OBM) software, a lightweight front-end loader program, or a standard web browser interface. Authentication can be handled via NOC-based cryptography, remote RADIUS, or an on-board RSA engine, and the device supports real-time telemetry transmission over available LTE cellular modules.
