It supports several password mechanisms for two-factor authentication, with some One-Time Password methods like on-demand SMS-OTP working better with a challenge-response mechanism. Users can be challenged for the OTP after entering their domain password or enter the password and OTP in a concatenated form. OpenOTP Radius Bridge supports single-factor authentication with password-only or OTP-only. It is compatible with local directories like Active Directory (AD) and LDAP, supporting on-premise environments. It integrates natively with EntraID, Okta, Google, Ping Identity, One Identity, and other identity providers for easy integration across various IAM systems. OpenOTP Radius Bridge is compatible with nearly all enterprise VPN appliances and provides EAP protocols for Wifi or NAC user authentication with WebADM PKI or OpenOTP MFA / FIDO. It supports integrations where the first factor is handled by AD servers and the second factor (OTP) by the OpenOTP server.
