Nodegrid Mini SR by ZPE Systems is a compact edge gateway designed for IoT, OT, and IoMD applications. It serves as an out-of-band cloud gateway to connect, isolate, and control critical devices at remote locations. Nodegrid Mini SR features a fan-less design, making it suitable for installation in remote manufacturing, commercial buildings, or SCADA environments. It connects directly to devices via its Gigabit interface, isolating them from the rest of the network. Nodegrid Mini SR is preloaded with Nodegrid OS, which includes zero touch provisioning (ZTP) from ZPE Cloud, out-of-band management, third-party guest OS, custom applications, and Docker, Kubernetes, and LXC containers. It enables automation over an out-of-band connection using Wi-Fi, LTE, or Ethernet and creates secure IPsec tunnels to private firewalls or public SASE/SSE destinations. Nodegrid Mini SR allows deployment of edge workloads like VMs, Docker containers, and applications such as third-party firewalls and vulnerability scanners. It supports a wide range of managed devices including serial, USB, network devices, PDU, and IPMI devices. The hardware includes 2x RJ45 1Gb Ethernet ports, 4x USB ports, 1x Micro SD slot, and optional Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity. Nodegrid Mini SR also features environmental sensors (external via USB) and supports IEEE 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6 with 2 spatial streams in 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands.
