NavGuard is an on-premises security solution for Microsoft Exchange Server and Outlook Web App (OWA) designed to protect confidential data and sessions from unauthorized access. The software continuously monitors OWA usage to identify when a user navigates away from an active session without properly logging off, mitigating vulnerabilities that arise on shared or public computers.
Upon detecting navigation away from the active session, the system issues an alert to the user, providing options to either securely log off or return to the OWA interface. Administrators can enforce customizable security policies based on various criteria, extending standard forms-based authentication and preventing subsequent users from accessing session data via browser history.
