The ProDevice Modular Storage System (MSS) is a hardware drawer designed for installation in standard 19-inch racks to securely store and archive data media, including magnetic tapes, hard drives, and solid-state drives. Constructed from 1.5 mm steel with an antistatic coating, the system integrates into existing server cabinets to consolidate IT equipment and media storage. Available in 3U and 4U heights across Basic, Professional, and Ultimate configurations, a single module accommodates up to 108 LTO tapes without cases.
The storage system incorporates built-in environmental monitoring for humidity and temperature, capacity sensors, and integrated touchscreens on advanced models. Physical security is maintained through either manual key or electromagnetic locks with access control functionalities. The interior utilizes separating barriers to organize various media formats securely, converting standard rack space into monitored media archiving modules.
