IKARUS mobile.management is a Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) platform for the centralized administration, security, and configuration of endpoints. It supports devices running Android, iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and Zebra operating systems across various ownership models, including BYOD, COBO, and COPE. The system's purpose is to enforce IT and data protection policies via a central web portal. Core technical capabilities include device policy and restriction enforcement, application lifecycle management, remote deployment of Wi-Fi and VPN configurations, hardware and software inventory tracking, OS update management, web content filtering, conditional access, kiosk mode configuration, and the execution of remote commands such as device locking.
The platform utilizes a single-tenant or multi-tenant architecture and supports multiple automated enrollment methods, such as Android Enterprise, Apple Device Enrollment Program (DEP), and Samsung Knox Mobile Enrollment (KME). For integration with enterprise infrastructure, it synchronizes with directory services like LDAP and Azure Active Directory for user and group management, while application distribution is managed through Apple's Volume Purchase Program (VPP) and Managed Google Play. The system also supports specific deployment configurations, including work profiles to separate corporate and private data, supervised device modes, and multi-user environments like Shared iPads.
