MTG Metering CA is a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) component designed for the smart meter ecosystem. Its purpose is to provide the required certificate types for actors operating in prescribed roles within the Smart Meter PKI framework, enabling secure communication between smart meter gateways and market participants. The solution allows manufacturers of smart meter gateways to equip their hardware with initial production certificates.
The Metering CA is available as a managed service or can be operated on-premise by organizations such as energy suppliers.
