Megatron by Assured Information Security is an Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL)-sponsored cyber deception framework and catalog of deception techniques. It aims to reduce the asymmetry in cyber warfare that benefits attackers over defenders, where attackers need to find only a single vulnerability at one point in time while defenders must protect the entire attack surface continuously. Megatron focuses on applying deception in cyber defense as a promising area of research to address this imbalance.
