MegaCryption DB2 by ASPG is a security solution designed specifically for DB2 databases on IBM Z mainframes, ensuring data protection across enterprise data centers. MegaCryption DB2 is custom built to protect DB2 data at rest, addressing internal security breaches and providing granular encryption for IBM’s DB2 database data. It combines transparent encryption with high-performance database management and transaction processing of DB2, ensuring data processing and protection across IBM Z mainframe environments. MegaCryption DB2 features secure algorithms: AES-128, AES-256, DES, Triple-DES, BLOWFISH, and CAST. Through encryption and decryption of sensitive data, MegaCryption DB2 helps comply with regulations like SOX, PCI, HIPAA, FERPA, COPPA, HITECH, EU GDPR, and UK DPA. MegaCryption DB2 encrypts critical data at the DB2 field (column) or table (row) level. It can utilize IBM’s CPACF clear-key acceleration for faster processing. MegaCryption DB2 can encrypt entire tables or selected fields, significantly enhancing the performance of enterprise systems using the DB2 database. All encryption is transparent to end users and requires no changes to applications. MegaCryption DB2 utilizes only secure, non-proprietary algorithms to protect data. The AES operations within MegaCryption DB2 are FIPS-197 validated cryptographic modules utilizing 128 and 256 bit keys, while the TRIPLE DES operation utilizes the equivalent of a 168-bit key.
