Mimecast Mailbox Continuity is a cloud-based email continuity solution that maintains email operations during disasters or planned downtime. When primary email systems go down, the solution enables employees and customers to send and receive email. The solution supports variable outage durations from 24 hours through seven days of full failover. It features automated failover, immediate failback, and automated mailbox syncing. During outages, employees can access email through Outlook for Windows, native Mac app, or mobile applications. The solution emulates primary email systems like Exchange and Office 365. It includes Continuity Event Management features that monitor email availability in real-time and detect high latency and failed deliveries. The product enables organizations to access live and archived email when primary email systems are down due to disasters, outages, or attacks. Administrators can manage downtime response from a single console and control failover events through the Mimecast Administration Console.
