JaCarta FlashDiode by Aladdin-RD is a unidirectional flash drive designed for secure data transfer from an open network to a closed one, including environments handling classified information. It eliminates the risk of unauthorized copying and is more compact and cost-effective compared to traditional unidirectional gateways. JaCarta FlashDiode is a hardware-software solution that supports unidirectional data transfer from an open network connected to the Internet to a closed network designed for processing restricted access information, including state secrets up to 'top secret' level. It is available in two versions: a certified version for the Ministry of Defense and a commercial version for companies in the defense industry and commercial organizations. JaCarta FlashDiode is permitted for use in significant critical information infrastructure objects of the first category, state information systems of the first class of protection, automated control systems for production and technological processes of the first class of protection, personal data information systems requiring the first level of personal data protection, public information systems of the second class, and information systems processing state data. It allows for the abandonment of write-once optical discs (CD-R) in favor of more convenient and familiar rewritable specialized flash drives, reducing the cost of ownership and simplifying the procedures for transferring information into a closed loop without the need for re-certification of the system. Employees and administrators can safely update signature databases for antivirus software, system, application, and embedded software in virtual environments.
