For security and compliance, the appliance passively monitors network traffic to detect anomalous behavior, lateral movement, and indicators of malware, without collecting sensitive data packets or impacting network performance. It performs vulnerability assessments by matching device profiles against threat intelligence to identify missing patches and outdated firmware, mapping security advisories to the relevant hardware. The system also identifies unauthorized devices and can integrate with network access control solutions for policy enforcement.
