HyperEngine is a component of Apcon's IntellaView network visibility solution that performs real-time packet processing of 100G network traffic and supports up to 400G total throughput through a maximum of four packet processing service engines that can be run concurrently. The system automatically detects over 1600 applications and 400 protocols in real time, including encrypted or obfuscated traffic. HyperEngine supports inspection of Layers 2-7 and enables data privacy by identifying and masking sensitive data. The platform provides packet processing features including deduplication, NetFlow generation, application filtering, pattern matching, and traffic shaping for network monitoring. It uses regular expressions to match packet contents and filter traffic, allowing search on individual packets or sessions. Each service engine can buffer from 3 to 160 million packets, depending on packet size, to prevent tools from being overburdened or oversubscribed.
