GateScanner Desktop by Sasa Software secures USB ports on computers and laptops, allowing users to import files from removable devices without compromising network security. The client-server application is triggered by the insertion of a portable device and guides users through a controlled import process compliant with NERC CIP managed access requirements. During the import, USB de-contamination procedures identify and block rogue devices. Selected files are sent to GateScanner’s multi-AV, Content Disarm and Reconstruction (CDR) engines for deep file sanitization. Safe copies of the originals are generated and delivered to pre-selected destinations with minimal delay. GateScanner Desktop allows scanning and redaction directly from the user's desktop. It uses a third-party device manager to activate the desktop agent, enabling scanning both in and out of the LAN and integrates with Active Directory. Files are centrally scanned within the DMZ using a scalable grid of virtual GateScanner Engines.
