EXP-401: Advanced Windows Exploitation by OffSec focuses on modern exploits for Windows platforms and bypass methods to circumvent Microsoft's defenses. It challenges learners to develop creative solutions for today's difficult exploitation environment. It includes case studies of large, well-known applications in enterprise networks and covers topics such as security mitigation bypass techniques, complex heap manipulations, and 64-bit kernel exploitation. EXP-401 is a demanding penetration testing course requiring significant learner-instructor interaction and is limited to an in-person, hands-on environment. Completing EXP-401 and passing the exam earns the Offensive Security Exploitation Expert (OSEE) certification. The OSEE exam assesses the course content and the ability to think laterally and adapt to new challenges. Learners have 72 hours to develop and document exploits and must submit a comprehensive penetration test report with detailed notes and screenshots of the steps taken and exploit methods used.
