DroneDefender by Dedrone is a portable counter-UAS device designed to disrupt communication between unauthorized drones and their operators. It jams common drone operating frequencies, including the GNSS spectrum, effectively countering a wide range of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) unmanned aerial systems (UAS). DroneDefender operates by breaking the communication link from the pilot to the UAS when a threat is detected, causing the drone to enter its pre-programmed safety mode. It has an effective range of up to 2 kilometers, allowing operators to disable drones from a safe distance. DroneDefender is built for use in hostile and challenging environments, making it suitable for both urban and field operations.
