Dr.Web LiveDisk is an emergency system-recovery tool designed for situations when a Windows PC fails to boot due to malware activity. The program is supplied as an ISO image for writing to an optical disk or as an executable file for writing to a USB drive. Dr.Web LiveDisk loads instead of the infected operating system and automatically detects and mounts all partitions on the hard drive while attempting to establish a network connection. Upon boot completion, the Dr.Web CureIt! scanner launches automatically. The tool includes the Midnight Commander file manager for searching and copying files. Dr.Web LiveDisk checks and repairs both the file system and registry in automatic mode. The tool can function as a portable operating system for accessing data on any computer regardless of installed operating systems.
