BroadForward's Diameter Firewall (DFW) is a software-based security solution designed to protect 4G/LTE and 5G networks against potential attacks, unauthorized senders, malformed messages, and overload situations. It supports GSMA FS.19 guidelines for Diameter protocol Signaling Firewalls and can be deployed alongside BroadForward's SS7 Firewall. The DFW provides real-time monitoring, filtering, and control of Diameter signaling traffic to ensure network integrity and prevent unauthorized access or malicious activities. It includes features for detecting and blocking duplicated SIM or SIM swap fraud in real-time using velocity tracking and time-distance plausibility checks for roaming location changes. The solution offers flexibility to configure, adapt, enable, or disable firewall rules across supported access technologies using templates, without requiring vendor involvement or coding.
