Deception360 by PacketViper is an agentless deception cybersecurity solution designed for both Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) infrastructures. The system employs software-based deceptive elements, including decoys, sensors, and artifacts, to emulate a Moving Target Defense (MTD) at the perimeter and interior of network boundaries. Its purpose is to obfuscate the network, automate threat hunting, detect threats during the reconnaissance phase, and lure attackers away from production assets while complementing existing security infrastructure.
The solution supports multiple deployment models, including inline as a bridge, passive traffic monitoring, physical, virtual, and cloud configurations. It enables automated, wire-speed threat containment and response, functioning without requiring a Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) platform. To inform its actions, the system applies locally harvested machine-readable threat intelligence (MRTI) and multi-context filtering based on factors like geolocation and protocol data. This allows it to dynamically shape traffic, filter unwanted IP traffic, route threats to sandboxes, or block malicious activity.
