It is suitable for all organizations, of any size, in any industry. Cyber Essentials provides protection from 99.8% of common cyber threats. Certification can be achieved in as little as 24 hours and only requires four steps. After purchasing a Cyber Essentials subscription, users can access CyberSmart's platform to input evidence for the controls. One of CyberSmart's IASME accredited auditors will review the application and provide steps to fix any failed checks. Once all checks are passed, users will receive a digital certificate of completion and badges. CyberSmart operates a yearly rolling subscription to ensure users never miss their re-certification deadline or expose themselves to attacks. The latest version of Cyber Essentials is V14 (Montpellier). Organizations outside of the UK can also get Cyber Essentials certification, and it is highly advised for any company doing business in the UK, even if based overseas.
