Collax Embedded SAN is a storage solution developed by Collax Inc. It provides networked storage capabilities within a server infrastructure by synchronizing data on the integrated hard drives of two highly available Collax V-Bien Nodes. This technology creates a virtual storage area network using the internal storage of existing servers, eliminating the need for external, costly SAN hardware. The Embedded SAN connects the cluster nodes' hard drives, ensuring all data is synchronized across all storage media, thus providing redundant shared storage.
