The MTG CLS Stack is a software component designed for IoT manufacturers to connect their Controllable Local Systems (CLS) devices to Smart Meter Gateways (SMGW) via TCP/IP. It establishes the required HAN-CLS link to the SMGW and consists of a CLS-HAN stack, an IP connector, and a specialized multiplexing function.
The solution provides a testing environment through a Windows-based SDK, allowing manufacturers to develop and test their CLS devices by simulating connections to SMGW, GWA, EMT, and SM-PKI. When combined with the MTG Mehrwert-Konnektor, it utilizes standardized TCP/IP addressing to integrate network-capable devices into smart metering infrastructures.
