Cerberis XGR QKD System by ID Quantique is a Quantum Key Distribution system designed for academia, research institutes, and innovation labs. It features a user-friendly interface for education, technology evaluation, and testing. Cerberis XGR allows access to internal data and modifiable parameters, and it supports external detectors for evaluation or long-distance links. It ensures interoperability through standardized interfaces for experimental networks. Cerberis XGR integrates the IDQ Clarion KX Quantum Key Management System (Q-KMS) for managing key requests and transfers between QKD optical systems and external encryptors. Key distribution is done over the secured QKD ETSI REST API or proprietary interfaces. A software suite automates hardware operation and key distillation. Cerberis XGR provides access to raw key material samples and sifted keys before QKD post-processing. Secure key exchange is possible over fibers with a maximum loss of 12 dB to 18 dB (typically up to ninety kilometers) and over a single core using WDM. The optical platform is well documented in scientific publications and has been extensively tested and characterized. Cerberis XGR is ID Quantique’s 4th generation of QKD, extending the XG Series for production environments, aimed at academia, research institutes, and innovation labs interested in DV-QKD and Coherent One-Way protocol (COW). Users can experiment with different parameter setups and configurations in automated and manual modes.
