The SlashID Browser Extension is a client-side security tool designed to detect and mitigate identity threats directly within the web browser. It provides real-time phishing prevention, shadow SaaS discovery, and granular access controls without requiring network taps, proxies, or SSL inspection infrastructure. The extension operates by inspecting the Document Object Model (DOM), evaluating URL reputation, and analyzing form behavior as web pages load to prevent credential theft, session hijacking, token exfiltration, and dangerous OAuth 2.0 grants.
Upon detecting risky activity or unknown applications, the extension can warn users, block submissions, or trigger identity-aware authentication challenges. It feeds discovered shadow applications into a central inventory and automates incident reporting by capturing domain metadata, user identity, and full URL context for security operations teams.
