Bastille Ruggedized Sensors by Bastille are designed for outdoor environments and hostile conditions such as humidity, dust, and extreme temperatures. They are available in two versions: Permanently Installed and FlyAway Kit (Portable). Both versions can be equipped with Standard Sensor Arrays for climate-controlled environments or Ruggedized Sensor Arrays for more challenging conditions. The Ruggedized Sensor is IP67 certified, allowing operation from -40C to +60C, and offers protection from dust and water immersion up to 1 meter for 30 minutes, including rain and spray protection. Each Sensor Array includes dual SDR receiver front ends sampling at 61.44MSps, detecting from 25 MHz to 6 GHz, two scanning 802.11ax Wi-Fi receivers, a system processor, and FPGA for protocol decoding and signal interpretation. Certified by the FCC as 100% passive, they do not broadcast or interfere with existing RF environments. The Sensor Arrays have no moving parts and are passively cooled via heatsinks. They continuously monitor wireless traffic, utilizing on-board processing to interpret and consolidate information before transmitting it to the Bastille Concentrator. The Concentrator optimizes the data, performs location calculations from multiple Sensor Arrays, and crafts events sent to the Fusion Center for notification, reporting, storage, and API-based integrations. The Ruggedized Sensor Array has no built-in antennas and can be mounted in any orientation. External antennas should be connected for appropriate reach and coverage. Power is supplied via Power-over-Ethernet or DC power input. A single cable to a POE+ capable switch is recommended for ethernet connectivity. The POE+ connection must be IP67 compliant, and the sensor housing includes a threaded connector for attachment. The Bastille Sensor Arrays leverage field programmable SDRs and FPGAs for in-place upgrades, allowing updates to device security, protocol demodulation, or RF detection capabilities without physical access to the enclosure.
